Label, shiny gold and black. I have a small personal story about this one. In the late 1980s, while in Helsinki, Finland, I decided to visit the
Karjala (pronounced Ka-REE-li-a) brewery to see if I might be able to get some labels. The place seemed deserted, and I walked all the way around the large main building trying without luck to find a "front" door. As I was about to give up, a man came out of a small side door to ask what I wanted. Turns out he was the plant superintendent, and the only person there that day, which was some sort of Finnish holiday. He graciously invited me in, showed me around, shared with me tastes of their various beers in the executive boardroom, and sent me off with a bunch of new labels. A fine experience!
