Woodrough & McParlin / Peerless No. 350 Bucksaw

(see previous photograph) A trade card for a bucksaw, a prime example of elegant functional design.
With the turnbuckle loosened, a fresh sawblade is attached to pegs at the bottom, then the turnbuckle is tightened; as it's tightened, the handles pivot 
against the curved trusses, strong in compression against each other. Simple and strong.
