The Egyptian style, along with several other middle eastern or Asian styles (Japanesque, Chinoise, Oriental, etc.) was very popular
during the last quarter of the 19th century. These stylings occured simultaneously with Artistic Printing and with the "gaslight" style,
so that elements of these styles crop up throughout.
